Does This Hat Make Me Look Fat?

Just can't seem to put the pen and watercolors down. Been thinking about making a few patterns. These lil' chicks look as if they are ready for spring! What do you think "Does this hat make me look fat?"

Mrs. Long Ears has a basketful of fresh flowers. It took her all morning but after going through the fields she has found enough to fill her basket.

Ol' Percival has had enough of this winter and is ready for spring in his brand new jacket!

Okay I'll stop! Had a great weekend with some of the gals. Once a month I am inviting whoever would like over for a day of hooking, punching, stitching, painting, knitting, whatever. We eat and play...lots of fun so if you are in the neighborhood we would love for you to stop by and join us!

Kay is a real go getter when it comes to hooking up rugs! She almost always has one or two to share that is done or almost done.

Laura and Kay...

My sister in law Ellen and her hubby John came for the day. John is really getting the hang of punchneedle and has even done some oxford punch needle, too. My mom began a oxford punch project of a rooster and almost has it finished.
Sloan's preschool teacher Miss Teresa came over and brought her featherweight sewing machine and worked on a few blocks. Veronica is doing a punchneedle piece by Maggie B. I didn't get a snapshot of "Kathy" but she learned how do punchneedle and boy did she catch on fast!

Well back to a doodle or two before bedtime!

Happy Birthday To My Mom!

A little doodle about my Mom.....she has a heart that is always giving!

Today was my Mom's 68th birthday. She is still a go getter and today was no different. We went for lunch and then off to mom and dad's farm to plant onions. Over 1300 onions to be exact. Whew that's a lot of onions!!!!

Mom and Dad took turns hoeing out the rows dad had prepared.

My sister Jane came along to help as well as Sloan.

Dad sent me home with a bunch of onions to plant here at our home, too.

Sloan kept busy keeping the curious dogs out of the garden and talking with PaPa Bob.

Sloan planted several onions and as he did he talked to them assuring them this was a good home. Bet his lil' onions grow twice as big as the others!!!!

Are we done yet....these rows are really long!
