49 Years Ago Today!

Mom and Dad tied the knot 49 years ago today. No fancy wedding just a trip to the the pastor's house of my Granny Doyle's in San Saba, Texas!



Here they are way back in the day. Don't they look so young! Well next year we will have to have a 50th Year Celebration for sure :)




Well finally got the binding done on this bunny and will be listing him on eBay this evening.



Also, finished this one and going to list it, too.

I finished up a big rug last night but still need to bind it. It's one of my absolute favorites so as soon as I get it done I'll share it with you.

Today we had record lows here in Oklahoma one city experienced -31 degrees.....absolutely crazy for Oklahoma. Here it was -2 when I went out this morning, not to mention the windchill factor. As the weatherman says just wait they are predicting 75 degrees by next week....hooray!

Twenty~Nine Years

Our first date April 27th, 1979


Starting a life together August 14th, 1981

Lots of memories...lots of growing....lots of sharing....lots of making do
Well we certainly have built a home filled with lots of love, family, and friends. What a blessing to have shared them with the one I love!



Thursday night we headed out to spend a couple of days together away from home and enjoyed stopping and visiting the Saltbox Primitive Woolens in Warsaw, Mo. Danny is always a good sport about taking me places.



Then it was off to Branson, Mo to enjoy seeing a few sights and catch a show.









Back home we spent the day going to church, having lunch with our daughter, and catching up on a few things around the house. It's nice to get away for a few days but coming home is always the best.

Oh~Danny Boy.....

Long ago or so it seems two young kids with lots of dreams fell in love and packed up a few of their things. With their families blessings and just a few friends they vowed to love, honor and cherish among other things.


We've had sickness and we've had good health. We were blessed with two children the loves of our lives. It's wasn't always easy but we worked side by side.

Today we celebrate our 27th anniversary....We were high school sweethearts and never dated anyone else. We married soon after high school and moved about 3 hours away from our families. Soon homesickness hit and before long we moved back to be near family. We have worked many a day side by side, we still hold hands, and still say I LOVE YOU...We are best friends and we rarely fuss. We enjoy our families and give thanks for each day.



So as we grow much older and time passes by I want you forever right by my side!
