Pumpkins and A Saltbox Doodle for You

Here is how yarn looks when used with an oxford punch needle. A simple pumpkin done on monk's cloth. With the yarn it works up even faster because your not having to load your needle as often.

I did use wool strips just for the lines in the pumpkin to give it a little bit of variation.

Here is the pattern for the Saltbox house I made in the previous post. Feel free to use it however you choose but please give me credit as the designer.

So far we are still sunny but there is a crisp cool wind blowing. Went into town to pick up a few groceries and you can certainly tell that many folks are preparing for what they are predicting to be a significant ice storm and then snow with huge drifts. I'll be content to set at home and watch it from our farmhouse.

If your in the path of this storm please be careful out there!

Happy Trails....Ginger

I love the warm colors that you used on the pumpkin and thanks for the saltbox doodle.
They are predicting some ice here tonight but then all rain tomorrow.
We shall see.

Ginger - Thanks for the free doodly design - I love houses! I'd like to try the punch needle with yarn some day too - it seems like it would go really fast compared to hooking!

You have made great use of that yarn. What size is your little pumpkin mat?
Stay warm during the storm.

Thank you for the saltbox house doodle. I plan on doing it as a miniature punch needle. I should have prepared more for these cold days with projects and such, but I'm having too much fun sitting here in blogland looking at what everyone else is busy doing. I better get moving! :)

Sweet pumpkin! I love the colors you used for it and the background.

I adore the Saltbox house pattern! Thank you so much for sharing it with us! I am going to embroider it one of these months (hopefully sooner!). I always put the name of the designer on patterns when I print them off because I sure want to give the designer credit. So I'm glad you already have your name on this.

You have a wonderful spread. How pretty it would be to watch it change with the seasons!
