Needle Punch Antique Horses

I have a passion for olde things....antique rugs made from ladies from so long ago. Quilts stitched by lantern light, prairie dolls loved by girls who carried them as they walked along the wagon trains. Slingshots that lil' boys had tucked in their pockets....just making do with the simpler things of life.

If you looked around my sewing room it is filled with projects and lots of goodies to work with. These families from the past just used what they had on hand sometimes refurbishing used clothing or tattered quilts to fashion something that could be used once again.

Using scraps from my hand~dyed cotton floss this little rug came about. It was inspired by a hand~hooked rug from the 1800's. I listed it on eBay "Primitives By The Light of The Moon" if you would like to take a closer look.

Happy Trails...Ginger
