Needle Punch and Notecards

It's been quite a long time since I've needle punched and I drew up this pattern last week and created a notecard. With having the little ones here during the day it's hard to find time to do much but the notecards are easy enough to put down when I need too.
I have made 33 different notecards and also have been making them into litttle mats suitable for framing. Some of them will be made into patterns for needle punch, hooked rugs, or even hand embroidery. I just need to find time to hook and punch.



Pati Jane and I will be doing a couple of craft shows again this year so "By The Light Of The Moon" or late into the night I have been busy once again!

I've put the tile job of the house on hold and am trying to restain an area and see how that will work! There is always something to be done and this evening guess I'll find myself on a tractor raking hay once the kiddo's go home for the evening :)

It's been a hot one here and I'm hoping where ever you may be your keeping cool in this heat.

October 2012 Workshop! We are doing it again

Yes another workshop with Frank Bielec! It is scheduled for October 12th,13th,and 14th, 2012. Three days of hooking or punching your choice. Frank has almost finished the model for this next class and as soon as he is finished I'll be sure and share a photo!

Squish Is That Water?

Yes it was and what started out as a leaky hot water tank turned into pulling up the flooring. What a mess and just look at these ugly floors!



Now to clean out my entire craft room I think I may need to rent a crew! It's like a super center in there. The flooring has to come up in there and the spare bedroom. I have used muscles I didn't know existed but I do now! Next time we are laying tile throughout the entire house this will be our third flooring job.

Thank goodness nothing else was ruined. So a word of advice check your hot water heaters occasionally....our's lasted 8 years and that was with a water softner.

Summertime!

This is what keeps me busy during the day! I do reap the benefit of lots of smiles and hugs! Already watching Looney Toons together!



She has changed so much in a short 8 weeks! Milestones are already being accomplished and Sloan promises to teach her new things all the time....boy are we in trouble :)



Look I have been hooking....I just need to finish binding this little rug! It's a pattern by Maria Barton of Star Rug Company. I stepped out of my comfort zone and used some pretty bright colors! Just think 6 more months and Christmas will be here once again :)

Outside I can hear the POP * POP * POP of fireworks in the distance....

Soon it will be time to celebrate the birthday of our great nation. Living in Oklahoma it's often been referred to as horse country. With the inspiration of the nearby horse ranches and the fireworks appearing in the sky..... I drew up this little doodle for you!

June Days

It's been a lazy day....bicycle rides and waterguns....even the cat has been lazy!



I peaceful drive down by the pond.

Even the cows have been moving slow today!



There was a turkey up on the hill if you look at the top left maybe you can see him, too!


I've been working on pulling a few loops hope to share that with you soon!

Star of Texas Rug Hooking

It seems like this month has absolutely flown by. Where does the time go???
I did have a wonderful time at the Star of Texas Rug Hooking Camp. I took Kris Miller's class and we learned so much!

I'll post some pics in a few days of some of the many projects I've been working on....I'm off to play ninja with a lil' boy :)
