Spring Chick Pinkeep
Free Doodle Pattern

Spring days are near and this lil' pinkeep was made by drawing around our little 2 year old grandson's hand. If you have a lil' one that you can draw around their hand do so it will make it all the more special...if not you can use the one provided below. I did cut off one of the fingers on the pattern for our lil' chick but you don't have to. I used wool for the chick and homespun for the background on the front. Simple applique stitches were used and a french knot for the eye and a backstitch for the lil' legs. On the back I appliqued a house and what Sloan calls me with the date.

Feel free to use the pattern in whatever art medium you would like.

Happy Trails....Ginger

That is so cute! Do you think a 7 yr old's hand would be too big? ;) Hmmm... maybe HE will want to stitch one up during Spring Break. Thanks for the idea!

I collect hand made pin cushions so I think this will be a good one to make up. Thank you for sharing.
