Can You Hear the Voices???
There it is again the carpets are calling to see the vacuum cleaner but I'm not listening.
Now the sewing room is growing louder and beginning to groan. I can't ignore it anymore. It wants to be cleaned and now!
It's time to put the needle, thread, floss, and hooking aside to find a path in the room and then find the vacuum cleaner so the voices will quiet down once again. I did manage to finish up a few little things for the upcoming updates. I'll be back again soon unless I get lost in my sewing room.
With all that said it's time to get after this room so I can find my needle and thread once more.

Time to start exercising!
Well it doesn't happen too often that I don't get enough pictures taken during Christmas but this Christmas I fell short. Hopefully my sisters grabbed some quick shots and will share with me (Hint) and to top it off I forgot my camera battery when we went for a visit to Danny's folks. Guess my age is showing!
My two lil' boys!
Time for pj's!
A day of exercise. We had to get inventive since Sloan isn't quite tall enough for his new basketball goal the only thing is he decided he could also use the box to climb on the loveseat. I'm in big trouble now.
Needless to say Grandma did a lot of ball chasing today....I just keep telling myself it's EXERCISE!

Thanks to Betty and another one of her wonderful freebies I decided to give cross~stitch a try. I'm just as pleased as can be with how this turned out.
I also have to give the big guy a thank you cause while I was finishing up this little piece he took "TIME" to do the dishes!

A Christmas Doodle done in Blackwork
I finished up one last Christmas goodie for myself. This Christmas Kitty was a doodle offered by my good friend Betty of Primitivebetty's. I couldn't resist a quick little blackwork and I had the perfect little wood frame for it to go in. Thanks Betty for sharing!

~*The 1st Day of Winter and Birthday Wishes*~
Winter is the season in which people try to keep the house as warm as it was in the summer, when they complained about the heat. ~Author Unknown
Winter's blast has blanketed much of our country and looks like it is here to stay for awhile. Time to keep the kettle going to keep the cups steaming with hot apple cider and mugs of hot cocoa topped with whipped cream. A time to wear flannel pj's and wool socks, throw another log on the fire and cozy up under the covers with a good book or movie.
Celebrating a special day was my lil' niece "Megan" today she turned 7. Here are the 3 M's as I call them...Maggie, Mandy Jo, and Megan!
The Birthday girl....MEGAN!
I just finished up another hooked rug. Now I just need to get this one bound. Reminds me of springtime!
If you are like me you are counting down to Christmas. I have a growing list of things to do before Christmas day. It's sure to be a busy week.

Cold Wintery Days and Keeping Busy!
December is flying by so fast and the cold temperatures have arrived. It's been a busy past few weeks for sure but I'm sure after the New Year things will slow down a bit. I dusted off my punch needle and made a few things to update the Lemon Poppy Seeds and Country Fried Primitives shops. I wanted to do more but it's that time of year! This one is just a little pillow with a simple primitive needle punch heart.
A little sewing pocket with a red wool pincushion. Perfect for little projects.
An olde~fashion heart with bits of gold to keep your pins and needles nice and sharp.
Then because I do love to make penny rugs....the 3 little kittens with a penny border. Mercy as cold as it's been they really should have mittens!
This week my daughter Jennifer Noel with celebrate her 24th birthday. Where has the time gone.
Then my little niece Megan will turn 7. She is just the sweetest thing always full of energy and happy to give you a hug!
Well I better get to work. No little elves here today to help me with my growing list. Just a sleeping little boy that will be ready to go hard at it again!

The Day Santa Claus Came To Town
It was a crisp, windy day when Santa and Mrs. Claus came into town today riding in on not a sleigh pulled by eight tiny reindeer but by a big, bright fire engine. Kids of all ages were waiting to see him at the fire station. For one little boy he would have been just as satisfied to have seen Santa from a distance.
It's almost heartbreaking to see him all in tears and I can truly say this is one of my first as far as crying photo's go. He hardly ever pouts or cries.
I believe he's telling Santa "Don't worry I'll be back again someday....just when I'm a little older!"
Everything is all better...Back safely with Daddy!
Our little community is so special each year at Christmas time Santa comes to town. He gives every little boy and girl a stocking filled with goodies and a stuffed animal. Door prizes are announced and it's a wonderful time to visit with Santa and your neighbors.
Wishing you each a wonderful Christmas Season!

Worms! Got to Love Em'
Do you ever struggle with what to create next? Sometimes I just take a break and work on something for myself. Not very often but when I'm in a creating slump I just sit and stitch, punch or hook just for me. I am so happy that all the hooking is done on this small rug. It will be mine and this weekend I hope to add the binding.
I have put the Christmas designs away until next fall and hope to have some creative juices flowing again before long. Until then I plan on finishing up a needle punch that needs to be in the mail and work on another hooked rug. I love the feel of wooly worms. I can already see that one of my scrap baskets is becoming quite full of left~over worms and perhaps soon they will become a scrappy rug.

Smile We Have a Winner!
What a busy weekend....and still there is much left to do before a new week begins. We did a little finishing touches on our Christmas shopping today and if you know me I am not a shopper! Thank goodness my daughter has a great mother~in~law that likes to go with her. Danny and I did some shopping after church today and we came across some very unhappy shoppers. I did have to grin as we walked out one door and of course Danny asked why I was smilin'......Well, as a lady walked into the bookstore we had just came out she looked as grumpy as a bear so I gave her one of my smiles looked like she needed one. Danny said he didn't think she took it! Oh well all you can do is try...right!
Now I want to put a smile on one of you as I announce the winner of My Favorite Things Giveaway and the winner is Miz of Threads of Miz. If you have a moment stop over at her blog to see all the wonderful things she stays busy creating.
I want to thank everyone who has signed up for all the giveaways that I have had over the last weeks. What a blessing to receive so many fun comments. Be sure to stop back and visit throughout the New Year as I plan to share even more.
