It's a cash giveaway!!!!

In one of my first post my sister Jane told me about a contest. Make a craft...write up a pattern for it...send in a sample as many as you like and see if you are a winner. Well~~~~~I had a couple of things already made that were wool applique but I had one last day left and decided to hurry and do a needle punch pinkeep. I waited and waited and never heard and then out of the blue one day when I was home a DSL driver comes to the door and leaves a pkg...it had two of my three entries returned...sorry you didn't win...mmmhh wonder what happened to the hurried pinkeep.
A few weeks later I get a call on my cell phone...guess what I won 5th place and $250 and I couldn't have been more surprised. It is definetely not one of my better pieces but I guess needle punch was an unusual entry. It will be published in Country Woman magazine in the fall and to boot I get a free magazine.

So seeing how it's Friday and I just love Friday...my favorite TV show comes on, we usually have mexican food and we are keeping Sloan overnight...I thought I would give each of you that stop by my blog in the next few days an opportunity to win some of my prize money. So if you will just leave a little note on this post you will have the chance to win....

A $50.00 money order...that way you can spend it however you like.

If you don't have a blog just leave your email so I can get back with you just in case your the winner.

I will announce the winner on next Friday July 25th.

Happy Trails to You....Ginger

Ginger... you are too silly! Yes, it would be nice to win cash.... but it would be nicer just to see your delightful pinkeep & the magazine article. WTG girlfriend! You are one super talented chickie! Now.... I'm off to dye some floss. Would you believe... I have been dreaming (yes, really!) about dyeing floss since I read that post the other day?!?! Now who is silly????

Many smiles your way!

Oh Ginger, you are so generous. I would settle for your angel patterns---Trying to get a few things done this next week, as we will be away for a week, but then when we get back, I'm going to do a little more floss dyeing..did that same thing that you did when Walmart stopped selling it. Don't have as much as you told me you have!!!
Many blessings to you and your family-

I just found you through a link from Pat Sloan's yahoo group. I can't wait to dye some of my garish floss....

Of course, if I had the cash I could buy more garish floss and have more fun with dye.

Ginger - Your work is wonderfully creative and beautifully done, so even something you don't think was "one of your best" is bound to be dandy. I look forward to seeing what the magazine chose. I am very lucky to have some of the neat things you've crafted.

Thank you for your blog and your generous spirit! Enjoy that grandbaby . . .

Ginger, just read your blog, so had to respond about the cash give away. But what really got my attention was how to separate floss. That was a true inspiration. I can't wait to get a swivel hook and start working on my floss. And your dyeing technique for floss. Never in a million years would I have thought of tan dye making that big a difference in the color. Thanks for sharing with all of us.Oh, and thanks for the music!! I could sit and listen to your selections all day.

Hi Ginger,
I love the way you seperate the floss. I will have to try that. I have been throwing the whole skein over the banister and letting it hang down as I pull out each thread. Your way sounds easier. Now where is my husband's fishing stuff. lol. Thanks for posting the hint on Yahoo Groups.
Congradulations on getting your pattern published. Can't wait to see it.
