Hearts and All I Want For Christmas!

Today Miss Eva Mae came for a visit.  We played and I finished up these little Valentine Bowl Fillers.

Wouldn't you know it on Christmas day this little one got her bottom two front teeth in!   She is officially 8 months old and well on her way to crawling.  Before you know it I'll be chasing the little one around the house.

They are forecasting a little more snow flurries tonight.....hooray!

Bloomers in the Midst of Winter

With everything so brown it's nice to have some colorful flowers in the midst of Winter.  With a little wool thread and a punch needle this little bouquet was soon made and will remind me of Spring!

Snow and Sleet For Christmas

Hoping each of you enjoyed Christmas with family and friends.
We will be having our family Christmas here on Saturday.  Our Christmas brought mostly sleet and a bit of snow.

The ducks flew away as I was walking around the pond.

Just enough snow to make a bit of mud.  The pond is down so much from the lack of rains.

With the sunshine today the snow is quickly melting.

It's been a good day for a  quick walk and a bit of crafting!

~*~Little Finishes ~*~

Small finishes of snowbuddies and

little Ginger's finished this weekend.

Hugs and smiles from the grandkids filled my heart!

Simple pleasures are truly often taken for granted.  Hug those closest to you and tell them you Love them.  Forgive those that have hurt you and say your sorry to the ones you have hurt.  Pray even if you don't know what to pray for.

Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me.
Let there be peace on earth
The peace that was meant to be.
With GOD as our father.

Heartache

My heart absolutely aches for all of those affected in Sandy Hook.  I can't even begin to understand it all and what each of the families affected by this must be going through.  No words can even come close of what even to say.....just know that my prayers will be with each one.

Winter Chill

I've been busy as an elf preparing for Christmas.  The punchneedle has had a workout as well as the rug hook.  Hope you enjoy some of my designs!

This snowman is a design by Brenda Gervais of With Thy Needle and Thread!  Just love how it turned out!

A few I actually finished completely!

The rug hookers, punchers, and stitchers that meet out at our farm once a month each brought a delicious dish for us all to sample.  I tried each and everyone!

Back to work!

Laura started binding on this rug!

Kay had finished this one.

Today Eva Mae came for a visit.  She is sitting up on her own and beginning to crawl.  She says Moma and has just started waving bye.  She is such a good lil' baby and she has her momo wrapped right around her little fingers!

I pick up Sloan after school and he is getting so very big.  He loves school and is always hungry and is always ready for a snack!

These cousins LOVE each other!

Now how about a little doodle....
We had a dusting of snow early this morning and we have finally turned on the heater.  The high today was in the 30's and it felt so good to finally say welcome to Winter!

Half A Century What A Blessing!

Seems like just a few years ago I was a kid playing with my sisters, riding a bike with a banana seat, screaming at the top of my lungs through the pipe on the swingset, playing tackle football with the neighborhood kids.  I grew up fishing, learning how to clean fish, mowing lawns, climbing trees, and just enjoying pestering my sisters!

I met my true love in junior high and we began dating at the ripe age of 16.  First boy I ever dated and we married when we got out of high school.

Two years later a lil' red headed boy stole my heart again and then a lil' blonde~headed gal came along and filled my heart up once more.  Hard to believe they are all grown up with a family of their own.

Two of the sweetest grandchildren a MOMO could ask for grace our home on a weekly basis while their Moma's and Daddy's work.  They give the bestest hugs and kisses.

I am truly blessed to have had 50 years of memories....Grandparents that I will always remember...Parents that loved me and encouraged me all through my life and still do!  Sisters that will always be my best friends.  A husband that loves me unconditionally, children that I adore as well as their spouses....and of course those lil' grandbabies.
Nieces and nephews that make me smile.  Then there are cousins, aunts, and uncles that always have me remembering the good ol' days.  I have a wonderful extended family that I gained when Danny and I married....I couldn't have asked for better :)

Friends near and far that have blessed my life far more than they will ever know!

Yes in a short 50 years I have made a lot of memories.  Life has thrown the occasional curve ball but I can truly say I am happy and whatever days the Lord wants to give me here on this earth I'll welcome each and everyone!

Now my dear Mom baked me an apricot cobbler and a coconut cream pie with meringue so this gal is going to have a piece of  both this evening and savor every bite!

My Favorite Things Freebie Pattern

It's been awhile since I lasted posted and I must say we had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family.  Hoping you did, too!    We do have so much to be thankful for our hearts and homes are truly blessed.

With Christmas fast approaching I thought I would do a few little ditty patterns of  "My Favorite Things" and share them with you in the upcoming days.  Feel free to stitch, punch, hook, or paint them however you choose.

Miss Kitty comes by to visit us at the window often.  She prowls around and finds a warm, cozy place in the shop behind the house.  She is a good mouser!

Danny went hunting over the weekend and I decided to get out the paper mache boxes and prep them for some needle punches I have planned.  Lots of painting on the edges and insides. Yes those ugly tags will be covered over with a nice wool piece.  I have the hardest time trying to get them off so I just cover them up!

Next I added fabric with the mod podge.  I had over 50 boxes by the time I was finished.  Now to get the punch needle busy!

I did manage to put the finishing touches on some little pockets, scissor fobs, and pins.  I've been working like one of Santa's elves into the wee hours for our upcoming adventure next year.  I hope to have boxes and boxes of goodies to offer.

Let us be Merry and Thankful this Christmas Season :)

My Snowman has a first name....

My snowman has a first name it's "OSCAR" ....sometimes a jingle just gets stuck in your head!
I've been busy with the punchneedle.

Flower pinkeeps soon and maybe a little mat for the bigger piece.

More pinkeeps!

Little Blue Eyes watches me punch some then she wants me to come play so off I go to play with her until we pick up Sloan from school.    I'm thinking by Christmas the lil' toot just might be crawling then I'll sure enough be busy!

Am I ready for Thanksgiving well I bought the hams and I'm thinking about dessert :)  My sisters and mom all  bring a few dishes so we usually have a feast!

Prairie Sunshine

Today we are enjoying a sunny day filled with light breezes sweeping across the Oklahoma prairie's.  The wind is suppose to be increasing and the temps will be dropping and a touch of winter is on the way.  I know a lot of the eastern states are having another round of bad weather and I hope all of you are safe and warm.

Well I've been punching and hooking up more little rugs and these little snowmen are some of my newest little pieces.  I guess I do better having a little pile hooked or punched up then bind them all in a day or two or that is at least what I hope to do!

Old Saint Nick is all punched and needs binding, too.

This little red house and flowers needs steamed then bound.

Last night I started this and hope to have it finished by tonight so I can steam and bind it with the others.

Since it is so nice today thought I would hang out the sheets and they are lazily flapping in the breeze!

This little ladybug decided to take a rest :)

Hope your enjoying your Wednesday I know I am!
