Pati and I hit the road early even before the rooster was crowing this morning and made our way south to Texas. We are going to attend the Star of Texas Rug Hooking Camp in Fredericksburg, Texas. We first noticed right before entering town that they were having Trade Days......we did find a few lil' bargains but mostly they had a lot of imported items. Just not my cup of tea.
Once into town we found Stonehill Spinning and enjoyed looking at the beautiful wool yarns, wool, and primitive hooked rugs. Confession....I found a couple of things there! Sorry Danny.....Just couldn't resist!
Tomorrow we have some free time to do a little looking around town at the antique and novelty shops before checking into camp.....I'm sure we will have lots more pictures to share before our trip is over.
Happy Trails.....Ginger

ohwow...I had always heard great things about that rug camp! I'll be looking forward to seeing your photos. Have fun! Are you taking classes with anyone?
It's going to be fun bouncing back and forth between you and Pati's posts! I'm sure Danny will forgive ya lol.
Ginger,
Have a great time!! I have always wanted to go there.
Trade Days looked like something I would stop at too... it's a shame it was mostly imported yuck. A couple of things in the Stonehill Spinning store, huh? LOL! ;-) Enjoy Fredericksburg!
The two of you always have so much fun together! :) I can hardly wait to see more pics! :)

Oh what fun you two girls must be having. Fredericksburg is a town I would love to visit, especially after having seen the town written up so many times in Country Home, Country Living and Early American Life magazines. Can't wait to see what goodies you have found. PS, we won't tell Danny.
