Every have one of those times when....

You allow yourself to drift back in time and remember those days that are now just a memory. I do a lot it seems. I like to think back of climbing trees, making mudpies, racing my bicycle down the street and standing up on the seat and letting the breeze hit my face.
Memories of walking home after school talking with my sisters of what had happened during the day. Oh how time slipped by so quickly. Remembering the first date with a boy and oh it just happened I married that boy.
The joy of being blessed with a little freckled faced red headed boy and an onery blond headed but sweet little girl. Summer days of wading pools, t~ball games, broken arms :( climbing trees, graduations and then leaving home.
Newer memories of holding another little boy that is now growing up so quickly. I must say I love to slip back into time and remember days that are now gone. Picturing my grandparents that are no longer here but when I close my eyes I remember...fresh baked cookies, hands that taught me to crochet, planting what seemed like endless rows of onions :)
So do you allow yourself to slip back into time?

Happy Trails....Ginger

These are some very nice memories, Ginger! I do the same... and always smile! Seems like the yesterdays were a lot more relaxed though... have to make today and tomorrow "seem like yesterday"! LOL! ;-) Have a great day making more memories! :-)

Actually I have Ginger. Going through my mil's things and finding photo albums. I just sit and look through them. I never realized she took so many pictures, and she caught some wonderful times to sit and reflect upon. I love it..

Thank you Ginger. It was a pleasure to read this post and then sit here and dream a little. I keep thinking I want to make my life simplier and this plays right into that. Taking time to remember....

Blessings,
Rhonda

That is a wonderful post Ginger,
Yes, I am afraid, lately I have allowed myself to step back far to often. Most of my family is gone now, All of my extended family, it is just me and my husband and kids and grand kids. So yes, my Mom died in December so I still want to pick up the phone. My grandparents were the best part about growing up and I lived in trees too. I was telling my husband that my hope chest is filled with my raggedy Ann and Andy dolls from my childhood and none of my girls will want them they think they are "creepy," So it does make me sad, I am to old sometimes to sit and hold my dolls.
Thanks,
I loved this post.

Everytime I get together with my brothers. We always end of reminiscing about the good old days and all the stuff we did (that we would never let our kids do today).

Sometimes I do and i miss not having my mom and grandma around, especially since they were crafters too. But I tend to live in the moment, and cherish each day as it comes.
