Stormy Weather....I Love Living In Oklahoma!

I love living in Oklahoma for lots of reasons...Of course the best reason is the majority of my family lives here. It's been an absolute JOY watching this little one as he explores new adventures everyday. He just happened to be fascinated with his shadow!

Okay call me crazy....I like stormy weather. Now I don't like it when someone has damage or gets hurt but I like watching the clouds, the sudden gusts of wind, the fast change in how quickly things just happen....I guess you could say I like watching the awesome power that the heaven's hold.

All of these photo's were taken this evening as storms are coming through. Lots and lots of tornado's in our state tonight and lots of hail.

In just a few short days I'll be packing up and heading to Tyler, Texas for a Star Rug Hooking Camp. I will be going with Pati and I can hardly wait. I feel like a little kid about to go to summer camp I'm so excited!!!! I'll be taking a class by Maria of Star Rug Company and am looking so forward to meeting Jo a good AAPG friend.....Oh I can hardly wait!

Happy Trails....Ginger

I too like the stormy weather & watching the clouds... but I don't like the tornadoes, hail any larger than small acorns, and mud in the living room. ;) The cloud photos are beautiful! It is amazing how the sky can change color & show off such a wonderful pattern.

Sloan meeting his shadow is really sweet! :)

Have fun at camp! Oh how I wish I could go too.

I hear you about liking storms! A little too crowded around my place to actually appreciate the hugeness of the storms... but when we are vacationing in the country, I'm always the first one out for storm watch! LOL! GREAT pics you captured! Have fun at camp! Sloan will be waiting patiently for your return! ~hugs, Sharon

Did Sloan ever catch his shadow. It is so fun to see him discover new thing. We tend to forget those joys as we age.
Beautiful storm pictures. I love rainy stormy cloudy days as opposed to 80 to 90 degree days.
Have a wonderful time in Tyler and take lots of pictures.

Ginger it was EXTREMELY active in Oklahoma last night. Great Pics I don't mind the thunderstorms just hate Tornadoes and the damage they cause in peoples lives like you said as long as they don't become deadly or leave folks with nothing left. AWESOME picture of the shadow. Have fun in Tyler gee I miss TEXAS while you are there if you have time take in Gladewater is you like antiques that is where my store use to be at.

I too LOVE to watch storms, though our storms don't pack quite the punch that yours do. I still get all excited as the weather changes ~ whether it be a rain storm or snow storm.
Enjoy your trip and take lots of pictures to share with us.

The pictures are beautiful! But I don't know if I'd want to live there. I visited my best friend in Tulsa and there were tornado warnings and she told me to just run for the school! A little scary! But I suppose like with anything else, you would get used to the warnings, etc., after a while.

Beautiful pictures. They are great to look at, but just scary knowing the damage they can do.

There is nothing more beautiful than a stormy prairie sky! Except perhaps for the smile on a grandchild's face~
