Hook ~ Punch and a Warm Day!

I've been hooking on the LJ Fibers rug and just about have it all hooked. I hope to finish it up this evening and get it steamed....then on to the binding. It's been so relaxing working on this one.

Well if you know me I never have one project going....so I drew up a simple little flower and decided to do another oxford punch. I got this much done in 1 hour....so if you own an oxford punch needle and have not tried it yet....give it a try. This one I have been doing with wool strips in a #6 size.

Here's the free pattern if you would like to make it. Feel free to use it however you choose.

Today the temperatures soared into the mid 60's and tomorrow looks to be about 70. Sloan and I made it to a nearby lake and he enjoyed playing at the park and feeding the geese and ducks.

The weathermen are forecasting freezing temperatures with snow, sleet, and ice for Monday and Tuesday....so guess we better enjoy the next couple of days. We do need some moisture since we are in a high fire alert. It's been one dry winter unlike so many of you that have had way too much snow!

Happy Trails....Ginger

Your rug is gorgeous, love the rich colors you used.
I have done nothing today, mostly procrastinating, lol.

That is just a beautiful rug, I can't wait to see it finished. Your punch needle looks good too. I am glad you said what size you used so next time I will use that same size. It looks real pretty there. Enjoy your warm temperatures.

The LJ Fibers rug is gorgeous!!! Love that little flower you started too and thanks so much for the doodle! After the 17" of snow we had between two storms yesterday... our winter has produced 63" of snow total... very odd for central nj.... now I REALLY want to move from here! loll!

Hi Ginger ..Nice to meet you ,your rug is perfect ,just love your color selection. I have been reading your blog for a while, Joanne is a friend of mine who told me about you. And thank you for showing the tip about over dying cotton floss, I still have that blog in my favorites. Have a great day!
