Needle Punch, Rug Hooking, Quilting, and a Wool Santa

Well what a Saturday! Danny had the alarm set for 4:10 am yes AM and he headed out the door to go striper fishing. I love to fish but this was a guy trip. I had other plans for my day.

I loaded up the truck and I spent my day at Country Collections giving a lesson on needle punch. This was Barbara's first time to give it a try and she did an excellent job on her pumpkin and crow.

Pati Jane taught a class on making a wool Santa....

Karen was busy with her Mom taking care of customers and putting out all the lunch goodies!

Rug hooking lessons for first timers!

Sandra was giving Renae a lesson on piecing a quilt.

Pati Jane helping a little on the rug hooking lesson.

Sandra taught rug hooking and quilting today....she is multi~talented!

Karan is a first time rug hooker and did well on pulling her loops. She is concentrating and so intent on getting those loops perfect!

Judy is also a first time rug hooker and did a great job on her rug also. They both were pulling up loops easier by the end of class and we found out that Judy and Karan have been friends since 5th grade....how great is that!

Vonda and Karen are the owners of Country Collections and have worked hard to make this a wonderful place for gals to come and sit, stitch, hook, paint, needle punch, rug hook and find all kinds of patterns and supplies. So....If you are ever in Moore, Oklahoma be sure to stop in I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Well we had a fun~filled day....Danny caught some fish, I got to enjoy visiting with new and old friends. Hope your day was a good one, too!

Happy Trails....Ginger

Looks like a fun day full of learning and smiles! Especially Patijane - why I don't think I ever saw a pic of her without that wonderful smile! Hugs!

What a fun day Ginger! I wish there was a shop near me I could go to for a day of fun. You are lucky to have one so close.

Wow your day looked like so much fun. You have much talent in that group. And fish on top of everything else. Great day.

As much as I enjoy being out on a lake in the early morning hours watching the sun peacefully rise while trying to catch some fish... I think I would have rather have been with the gals yesterday!!! ;-) What a great group of folks in a heavenly store!

My sister lives in a little town called Milburn, which is close to Durant, and my cousins live in Chickasaw. So next time I go back I will go to Moore and find that wonderful place. It looks like a wonderful day!

That is a wonderful place and shop. It is so nice to have a get together, where you can work on different mediums and learn from each other.
