The Fish Are Biting!
The prairie winds brought a cool breeze today but that didn't stop a lil' boy from wanting to go fishing. It is simply amazing to me how quickly he has caught onto reeling in fish. I do throw the line out for him and then he does the rest.
He's got another...we were catching and releasing them today but we sure could have had enough for supper.
This year he wants to touch them.
Next we headed down to the barn where we keep the hay and the bottle fed calves are.
On our way back to the house we saw two geese that were staying close to one of our ponds.
Before he left for the evening he had to have a snack and someone sure loves chocolate especially "Kittycats" or maybe you know them as Kit Kats.
My Dad taught me to fish when I was just a lil' kid along with my sisters. Four lil' girls sure kept him busy baiting hooks and removing fish. We all four still enjoy fishing and all of our kids fish when they have the opportunity. So find a pole or two and take your kids or grandkids fishing you'll be glad you did!
Happy Trails...Ginger

Wowzers! Thoes sure are some BIG fish! Pics of Sloan always bring a smile! He's growing fast! Quite the little man! :-)
Hi Ginger,
Just looks like he was having soooo much fun! It brought back memories of my father taking me ice fishing ... and me taking my son fishing and baiting the hook and taking the fish off for him .... Sure was glad when he got old enough to do it himself.
Great photos of the farm. Thanks for sharing.

OH Ginger! I love fishing!!! That is so awesome that you took your grandson fishing. With a house full of men we all loved fishing!! Sometimes my oldest son and my middle son could go out all day long w/o catching anything and love every minute of it...my youngest son and his father...well, thats a different story! If they haven't gotten anything within a couple of hours they are ready to pack it in LOL!!! What a blessing it is to share those moments with this special child. may you have a blessed day!

Sloan is a very lucky little boy. Learning to fish with my Grandpa are some of my most favorite childhood memories!
What a fish! It looks like you have the most wonderful time! We really do need to find all the fishing gear & head out. I'm not sure we would do as well as you and Sloan though. You are PROs! :)
