Bound and Determined!

Confessions of a rug hooker....Binding is not my favorite thing to do. So time to do some finishing. The huge pile of unfinshed hooked projects that only like the binding has grown so much it's time to get it done. So far I have finished binding 2 of the 23 hooked projects ranging from small mats to big rugs. I know twenty-three may seem like a lot but you ought to see the quilts hanging in the spare closet that just need to be bound. Sometimes confession is good for the soul!

So I'm bound and determined to get these projects finished. I have a lot more I want to do so I'm making myself finish at least 3 a week before I can pull a loop...guess I better get back to the whipping!

Happy Trails....Ginger

WooHoo!!! You can do it Ginger!! Wow, just think - you're going to have 23 finished rugs all at the same time! LOL!! You'll be done with Christmas by April! hee hee :D No, seriously though, you'll hit get on a roll, and before ya know if you'll have half of them done! Goes alot faster than quilting and binding and labeling!! ;D

Ginger, I hear ya! I have the same problem. I've finished whipping 2 this week and have 2 more to go. Your projects are beautiful! It's going to feel great to knock them out.

You can do it, Ginger! Think of how clear your mind will be to create more when you finish binding all of these! :-) Beautiful rug, I might add! :-) I remember that picture of your quilt tops... tee-hee!

Whoa, that is a lot of rugs to finish. Never quite understood why some don't like to bind. I really enjoy it. I always refer to it as the same thing as putting the back stitching on cross stitch. It really brings the piece to life and ads that finishing touch!
You will have no problem doing 3 a week. I just love your work Ginger. The pieces you have shown are just wonderful! And always look forward to seeing more !!

Ooh, look at all those wonderful rugs. I like binding things like quilts, but I haven't tried a rug yet (because I'm a slacker who hasn't worked on mine for a couple weeks except for the 10 minute thing). You've got so many great rugs, I hope that you get to them soon.

Ginger I am with you, I hate binding, whipping or whatever, but I did make myself do it a couple of months ago.
Now have added more that need to be finished. Ugh! Make sure to show us your finished rugs, they look wonderful.

Ginger, I'll bring my rugs over to bind since you are on a roll. That is the one thing I do not like to do. But I only have 3 to bind so far. You know, after you get one finished, then you could pull some loops, kind of break up the monotony of binding..lol

I am weird, I like to finish them, lol.
I usually whip yarn around the edge and find it relaxing, but I don't think I would want to do that many at a time;)

Oh my Ginger, you have some really great rugs there waiting for finishing. I would love to see them when you are done. Very inspiring to see them all together like that!
