This guy might be neat to look at but not in my sewing room especially at almost 1 am. It's a Texas Red headed centipede....what are you doing in my Oklahoma home? Texas can keep these critters! Enough said.
Ginger ~ It actually looks like a gummy candy that you would find for Halloween. Yuck! I guess the million dollar question is how did you get it out of there? Hugs :) Lauren
I think I would have had a heart-attack! Do you think it hitched a ride after your camp? Did you pick it up? Did you put it in a jar? I know when I am up late and the house is quiet and I am sitting, I see the strangest things go running across the floor. I have never seen one of those things, I have to show my kids.
are ya kidding me? oh my stars & garters...I would have jumped on top of the fridge!!! now, I don't mind snakes....but spiders and THESE THINGS just send me over 'round the bend & over the edge!!! HOW did you get rid of it? *EEEeeeeepppp!!!*
OMG, I would totally freak out if I saw that thing. I'm not afraid of much, but centipedes and millipedes, and that Texas Red Headed centipede would make me scream so you could hear it all the way to Oklahoms if not further. I hope you killed the thing! YUK!!!
OMG, OMG, OMG, I just HATE those...here is Indiana ours do not have a red head though...BUT, they still make my skin CRAWL!!!!!! I might have a bad dream tonight over this, ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yikes! and I was worried about my husband bringing home bed bugs from all his work related travel. I bet your little cowboy Sloan would like to keep it in a jar!
I tried to leave a comment yesterday with no luck. Will try a second time. I got stung twice by a Florida scorpion reaching into a bag of yarn. That was two different times. I quickly found out that the Florida variety only stings and hurts but no worse results. Another time, I was sort of half awakened by something irritating my stomach area. I hit at it and it stung. I jumped out of bed & turned on a light. Found a scorpion under my nightgown. Yuck. Your bug looks none too friendly.
Yikes! I agree, get that thing out of Oklahoma!! At first glance, it looked like a plastic toy. Definitely not, though. If I found that thing at one in the morning, not only would my family know but all my neighbors would be awakened by my screams. Yuck!!
Trinity just snuck a fake, rubber one of these on my keyboard when I wasn't looking! I just about jumped out of my skin again 'cause I remembered the one in your house!!! What a Halloween Prank he just pulled on his ol' Mom!!!!!!!! lol
