What a fun workshop with Sally Kallin of Pine Island Primitives. Made a lot of great new hooking friends and learned so much. The food was fabulous and the inspiration was everywhere you looked.
Pati Jane went with me and she worked on a rug "Merrily down the stream" and she did a fantastic job on each and every aspect of it.
Don't you just love her bunny and chicks.
I did get a big part of the farm scene done.
Below is what everyone else was working on.
If you ever get the opportunity to take a workshop they are a lot of fun and you always learn something. Now I just need to get that big ol' rug done!

I love Sally's designs....I've always wanted to do "Merrily Down the Stream" and that last bunny - can't remember his name, but I remember it was the bunny from her grandparent's garden....then I realized I'd have to hook in 6 and 4 cuts and got over it. ;o Can't wait to see your and Pati's finished pieces! Loved all the different rugs and how they all are progressing along. Pati Jane's bunny seems so pet-able and quite different from the other rug with the same design... Both rugs seemed quite different, because of what had been worked, and palettes, but a great design!
Your farm rug seems to be a comination of BHR and the hooker who always did lots of animals. Her name slips my mind at the moment. Love your color choices!Especially the blue bird, and marmalade cat!
Growing up in the midwest, I miss seeing silos, and actually thought I understand what Mitt Romney meant when he was talking about the trees being the right size in Minnesota. Jo
