If You Could Live Your Life Over....

Would you change anything?

Sure I would!

I would have listened to my folks more and been been a little kinder to my sisters.

I wouldn't have worried so much about the farmhouse we lived in and invited people over for dinner more.

I would have spent more time playing with my kids and took them to the park and zoo more. Wonder if they would like to go now?

I would have spent more time reading to my children and hugged them more.

I would have enjoyed more of the day than worrying about the tomorrows.

I would have went and seen my Grandma more.

There is so much more...yet I can't take back yesterday!

So WOULD YOU CHANGE ANYTHING?

I want to try to do better and enjoy the day for what it is...simplify what seems to be the big things, and don't worry about the messes so much. What's a lil' spilled chocolate milk it can be cleaned up...come on let's get out the finger paints!

Happy Trails....Ginger

As the saying goes, youth is wasted on the young, if we only had the wisdom then, lol.

Once again, my dear friend, you have touched & warmed my heart. Yes, there are so many things that I would change. But then... all the decisions I made in my past are what got me here today (the good and the bad) & I do love today and those around me. :)

This is a great post! I agree with Debbie, Betty and Heidi... but, if I could change something in my past... it would be to spend more time with my Grandma (Mom's side of the family lol!) And I would have behaved more (as a teenager) for my Dad's sake... as it wasn't until after his passing that I realized how much stress (from so many directions) was consuming his life...

And, another appropriate quote... "Don't sweat the small stuff" :-)

I have often thought that I would love to be able to go back and change certain things but If I did that, would I be who I am today...? The way I try to look at it is, all the things in the past got me to where I am today. So I take those things that I would probably change if I could do it all over and make them a learning experience. I can't change the past but I can help shape my future.

Have a great weekend

This made me want to cry. Especially the one about visiting with your grandma. That one will always get me. I just thought they would live forever.
I think that is why I love having grandchildren, because I get a second change. :)

My sentiments exactly!!!! I would change how I spend my time...more time with family and friends. More time playing. But I can start doing that now. No time like the present!!!!

ooh love this post and didn't have to think long - there are so many things I would change and how cool would it be if we knew more of what we know now then - the world would be a more positive place!

Of course I would have done things diffrently. But all in all I have a pretty good life and what happened in the past got me here. So all is well

A wonderful post Ginger. None of us would be here talking with you if we could go back and change things. It's amazing how our choices direct our paths. Of course I have thoughts from time to time on what i would change. For me it was my Mom and Dad. They were taken away way to soon. I choose to live my future one day at a time, giving more of myself to those I love. And just don't sweat the small stuff if at all possible :) Loved reading everyone's response!
