A Tulip For Thee

Finished up Mr. O'Hare and his first tulip of spring. I used my oxford punch on this one and it's quite large 13 x 19 and took two evenings to complete except for the binding.

No signs of tulips popping up here yet but we do have those purple weeds. Funny how a lil' boy told me he liked my purple flowers while we were out enjoying some sunshine. Seems like no matter what in life there is always a few weeds that need tending too!

I hope your spring is well on it's way!

Blooming Jacks

Just finished this cute lil' runner by Anita White that I purchased at Lenexa. It's called Blooming Jacks. Still need to press and bind it. I'm trying to do some rug patterns I have purchased in the past. I have quite a few to go. Seems like some have been put away and more purchased...so I'm setting my mind to finishing more so I can enjoy them.

With that said what do I do but draw off another pattern since I'm anxious to do another oxford punch. It's a rather large one but I hope to use up alot of worms from the scrap basket.

Here is a few of the treasures I found while we were on the trip to Lenexa.

I really liked the little pig and horse made from quilt scraps!

Today I stopped by the store and bought some seeds to start in the house. Are veggies high in the store or what! Thought a lil' boy might like helping me start a few tomatoes, peppers, and cantaloupes.

Enjoying the Sunshine!

I've finished up a couple of oxford punch pieces. The first one is a little dog sampler. The design of the dog is by Frank Bielec.

The lil' house was just hand drawn onto monks free~hand and punched.

"Peter Rabbit" is a pattern I purchased from Cammie Bruce of Baskets of Wool at the Lenexa Hook~In. It was a fun one to hook and only took two evenings.

Well we have had sunny days for a couple of days and Sloan was more than happy to go outside. He was anxious to go water his onions in the garden.

Next he wanted to go fishing so off to the pond we went.

He is getting pretty good at mastering a rod and reel but I still throw it out for him.

He caught 4 in just a short time and informed me this one was a gollywhopper and I had to agree.

Oh and someone asked about the first rug in the last post it was designed by Nola Heidbreder. It was one of my favorites.
