An Unwelcome Vistor!

This guy might be neat to look at but not in my sewing room especially at almost 1 am. It's a Texas Red headed centipede....what are you doing in my Oklahoma home? Texas can keep these critters! Enough said.

Flown The Coop!

We have an escapee....Seems like I can't keep this one contained to the chicken pen.
She has decided to roost right on the ledge of the house close to the door of all places.

I must admit yesterday morning around 6:30 am I was awakened by what I thought was an intruder. Danny had left about 30 minutes earlier for the day and I was sound asleep when I heard banging on the house. What to grab....get the gun...no better not....but a big pair of scissors ready, poised to do damage....
Okay remain calm....good thing I did it was that crazy chicken out there on the ledge of the house banging around....

Looks like I'll be needing to get her contained back to the pen and clean up the house. She's very lucky that's she is not being served as chicken pot pie!

Pipsqueak loves following her around the yard at a safe distance!

Oxford Rug Punch, Crochet, Cows and Ninja's Oh My!

Well today as Sloan took a nap I drew up this lil' black sheep and before he woke up it was done....yes Oxford punch needle is super fast!

A couple of days ago I tried my hand at crocheting hats and made 2 in one afternoon. Got a special gal in mind to send them to. My cousin Sharron is dealing with a 2nd round of cancer and beat it once but it seems like it's back again but she's hanging in there and doing her best to beat it again. Please keep her in your prayers.

Last night Danny decided we needed to haul some of the older cows off to the market before winter days set in. So our littlest cowpoke came along to help.

He carefully made his way into the corral making sure where he was stepping to help them get into the trailer.

After he made sure they loaded up he decided he needed to have a lil' chat with his dad.

Today we had to go into town and pick up a few things and a lil' boy decided a ninja costume was one of the things we needed....and of course

WE did need it!

An Early Celebration!

It's hard to believe but Sloan will turn 3 on October 9th. We celebrated a little early with a party at his house with his Mom and Dad and lots of family. We enjoyed a cookout and then a Scooby Do cake. I think he had such a great time he wants to try it again tomorrow :)

As you can see he likes to ham it up!

Sloan and his favorite Aunt Jenn.

It's A Beautiful Day On The Farm

Don't you just love Fall days....days when you can open the windows and let the sunshine and cool air come right on in. Play outside with those you love and listen to the crowing of the rooster and the giggle of a little boy as he plays chase with a pup. Oh I do love my Monday's!

I have even found time to list 2 little rugs on eBay.

The Pumpkin Jack rug I even crocheted around the edge...something new for me and it went very quickly.

Here is some of the wool strips Frank brought to our class that he had cut into a #6 cut for us to use. Three big tubs of them...they were overflowing and this was even on the last day of class!

Here is what I punched in class...just got to do some finishing touches.

Sloan came this morning with these fun glasses and of course we had to take a turn!
