Pumpkin Moon Sampler

I hope you enjoyed your weekend I know I did! Made a quick little road trip with some friends and even though it rained we had a good time.

I finished this needle punched piece and added some dimension to a couple of the sunflowers. I just need to finish up the piece I want to attach it to.




I do have my "Jack Sprat" lumina pumpkin pattern available on our etsy shoppe. It can be hooked, punched, or stitched.

Danny has been working away on the tiling of the floor and now I just need to get my craft/therapy room cleared out....that will be one big job!

Needle Punch Christmas Ornaments

Lots of things going on around here. Pati and I have been working on lots of new patterns and making samples. Here are some of the new Christmas ones I have made kits for.

We are using hand dyed wool thread and they are turning out so nice. They look like tiny hand hooked pieces but they have been needle punched.



Kits with cameo medium needles with instruction booklets, weavers cloth, a lip lock embroidery hoop, reusuable pattern with color photo and wool thread to complete 3 ornaments are included in this pack. We have them listed over at our Etsy shop with FREE SHIPPING.



If you are already a "puncher" we also have kits available with weavers cloth, pattern, and wool thread.

This is just a sample of some of the kits and patterns we will be making for our adventure next year!

Freebie Friday!

Snowman Doodle Just For You and Crafts for Toddlers

No snow here yet but it sure feels cold outside. We finally had to turn on the heater and I'm sure my Mom and Dad have been busy keeping wood in the stove at their house.
Christmas will be here soon and I finally have a dent in my shopping just wish I had it all done and wrapped....

Here's another free lil' doodle I drew up the other night feel free to stitch it up however you choose I just ask that you give me credit as the designer.




I traced around Sloan's lil' hands onto green construction paper. We used 6 hands for each tree. With the help of PaPa we got the glue, silver glitter and a disposable pan to make these cute little trees. Sloan had a really good time shaking on the glitter.



Just add a star and a trunk and you have a perfect Christmas tree made with some special lil' hands!



Horseback rides from his Daddy makes this boy have to hang on tight! Sometimes it's more like bucking bulls. Whoa Cowboy!!!!

Wintery Doodles Just For You!

Last night I found myself doodling up a bunch of snowmen that I will be posting throughout the coming days. Feel free to use them for needle punch, rug hooking, embroidery or however you choose just be sure to give me the credit as the designer.

Oh the cold winds are blowing across the plains of Oklahoma today. It makes for a good day to stay home and work on projects. This morning Sloan and I did some chores around the house...yes he's only 2 but he does love to help wash the dishes, run the hand~held vac and help load the dryer. He's such a big helper you just got to make sure he has plenty of chocolate milk and snacks because he works up an appetite.



He found a lil' time to enjoy some snacks while he watched the Disney movie "Aristocats"....he does like his movies!

New Halloween Needle Punch Pattern

"Polly Punkin" has a smile that would brighten any gloomy day! I just finished her up last night and made me up a pattern. Seems like I always draw a little, punch a little, draw some more, and punch more, and before you know it a new needle punch piece. If I like it then I draw up a pattern....a little backwards for most folks but it works for me!

Polly Punkin is done in 6 strands so it goes really fast. I'll be listing the original finished piece on eBay this weekend and will be offering patterns in my LPS pattern shop.

Well here it is Friday once again. Doesn't the year just seem to be going by so quickly? School days here in Oklahoma start again in the middle of August and I know my nieces and nephews are trying to enjoy as much summer fun as they can. Right now a cool swim in the pool sounds great but it's back to work!

A PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS GIVEAWAY5 Wool Penny Ornaments

It's time for another giveaway! I designed and made these Five little wool penny ornaments and I want to send them to someone for your little Christmas tree!
I will be giving away one set of finished ornies to the 1st place winner, one kit to make these ornies to the 2nd place winner and then because I want everyone to be a winner you can find the pattern listed below and you can make some yourself! The winners of the drawing will be announced the evening of November 9th. If you don't have a blog just leave me a email address just in case your a winner!

If you want to enter the drawing here's what you do. Just leave a comment of your favorite Christmas memory, family tradition, or even just a favorite Christmas song.



You can click on the pattern and copy it....just reduce or enlarge it to where the penny circles are 3 inches across.

Supplies you will need:
wool or felt
12 x 14 piece of black for penny circles
various scraps 3 inches or smaller
matching threads for applique
embroidery floss or #10 crochet cotton ~off white
sm. amount of black, orange, & red embroidery floss
8 tiny rusty or plain jingle bells
(5) 7 inch strips of ribbon or wool for hangers
freezer paper and a warm iron

Instructions
***************
Trace patterns onto freezer paper and iron shiny side down onto wool or felt.
Cut out on line. Pull off freezer paper (you can reuse the freezer patterns if you want to make more)
Applique each piece in place as pictured. Be sure to tuck the layered pieces such as the hat & scarf for the snowman in place before sewing.
Overlay the white pieces for the cuff on the mitten & stocking and stitch in place.
Add details with embroidery stitches~~~The cat eyes are French knots, straight stitch the nose and whiskers. The snowman has french knot eyes and mouth with little straight stitches for the nose.
Place a black penny to the back of your appliqued penny place a hanger at the top and blanket stitch around the edge. You can add feather stitches around the motifs if you like.
These make wonderful little Christmas ornies or gift tags.
