Happy Trails Camp

I am pleased as can be about the fun and fellowship we all enjoyed at the Happy Trails Oxford Punch Rug camp we held here at the farm.
Friends were made and friendships from the past gathered and we ate, punched, gabbed and laughed!
I am still enjoying all the memories of the last few days.
A big thank you to Frank Bielec and ALL the gals who attended.

I had a LOT of help with the preparing of the food by my sis Jane and my dear Mom.  Ann and Teresa also, were a big help with the meals as well as the wonderful guy of mine....Thanks Danny for doing a lot of grilling for us.

There was 21 of us that attended the camp and the room was constantly filled with lots of giggles.

We even had an indoor sidewalk sale that included lots of wonderful handmade goodies.

Crochet, handmade wool socks, patterns, books, handmade pottery, wool, needle punches, wool applique...and lots more!

Inside the classroom lots of punching and smiles....Pamela, Betty, and Patty!

Jane helping to prepare the enchiladas.

Mom taking a break and punching!

New rug punchers and boy did they get busy!  These sweet gals own a yarn shop in Norman, Oklahoma.....L&B Yarn Co.

Frank telling one of his many stories!

Taking time to discuss locker hooking....these gals all do locker hooking and make wonderful rugs.  Such talent!

Katie from A Nimble Thimble visiting with Frank.

Jan the famous maker of Socks that Rock by Jan with her finished Sheep!  I now own some of her wonderful wool socks :)

Natalie who is 17 years old and a first time rug puncher did a pig with her mom Donna and grandma Pat!  Such a fun family :)

It was such a pleasure to have all of these gals here and I am truly blessed beyond measure to have  had them visit our home!  Thanks so much to all of you for coming and for helping with the clean up :)

Looks like a nice gathering with great friends. Oh but I'd have grabbed up a pair of those luscious knitted socks first thing in my shopping cart.

Looks like lots of fun was had by all! Wish we had events like this out my way so that I could learn how to create such wonderful items!
Did Frank used to be on an HGTV program? He sure does look familiar!!
