Inspired to be a CopyCat!

Sometimes I just can't help it something just grabs my attention and my mind starts racing.  Karen Kahle had a wonderful bag that she crocheted last week and I wanted to see what the wool yarn that I hand~dyed would look like crocheted.  So off to find just the right crochet hook and pop over to Lucy's  blog  Attic24 where Karen had found a wonderful pattern for the tote she made.

Sometimes I like a pop of color and boy did I acheive it with this bag and is it ever sturdy.  I used 4 ply wool yarn and it hooked up really fast in just one evening.

So yes I was inspired to be a copycat.....Thanks to Lucy and Karen!

Sunday afternoon we stopped by JoAnn's and I found this prim color of cotton yarn and I think with a bit of black mixed in here and there I just might crochet up something else.  It isn't quite as bright as the picture shows.  The color is buttercream even sounds delish!

So be inspired to be a copycat  in a good sort of way and get those hands busy creating!

Happy Trails....Ginger

I was inspired by Karen's tote too and now yours, but haven't started mine yet. Hopefully I'll decide what to use.... the yarn I have, buy something more firm similar to jute so it isn't as floppy? But meanwhile I uncovered that UFO so will work on that.

Great beauty you crocheted.

Hi Ginger,
Always fun to have a pop of color now and then. The bag is beautiful - and being a copy cat is okay - we love seeing how someone else does the piece.
What pretty new yarn.
Many blessings,
Karen

Beautiful bag, I haven't crocheted in years. I do love seeing all of the fun yarns that they have now.
