A Basket of Sunshine

What to do with a free day??? It's spring break and my lil' sidekick is off visiting his other grandparents and cousins :)
So why not grab some woolly worms and get busy!

A quick sketch onto linen and let's see what will happen!

It's beginning to grow.

With a little bit of sunshine things begin to happen.

A grand sunflower has sprouted.

A little redware basket  to hold my sunflowers.

Awe a bit of sunshine and the sunflowers are standing tall.

Did you know that sunflowers have many uses....it has been used for medicinal purposes, feed additive for cattle, cooking oil, making of paper, the stems have been made into fuel, bird food, and many more uses, plus let's not forget they are great snack for ballgames!

The bowl seems to magically acquired some woolly worms once again...see they do multiple!  Wonder what these will become :)

Don't forget we are having a giveaway so come on over to  Prairie Moon Primitives.

Happy Trails....Ginger
