When Mom Gives You Zucchini.....

Well get busy and make some zucchini bread. Here is the recipe I used and it turned out excellent....I will be making more. Even going to try some with splenda for the diabetics in the family!

Saturday morning Sandra and Pati came for the day to do some crafting, eating and visiting. We got out the hula hoops and did a little excercise.

Sandra brought a rug to work on.

Pati worked on some garden art.

Later on in the day I took some old cookie sheets that I found at the thrift store and gave them a prep of primer.

Got all of those finished last night and a few other projects.

This evening I've been pulling a few loops on the farm rug. Looking forward to having this one done and ready to start a few halloween rugs. I'm so ready for fall temperatures but no relief in sight. I'm sure water rationing is right around the corner as the water pressure is so low. We are definetely praying for rain.

I need to have a giveaway soon.....It's been way too long! Maybe I'll come up with something by next week.

Happy Trails.....Ginger

I want to come play too! :) I know the three of you were rolling in laughter all day long!! :)

What a cool thing to do with the old cookie sheets. You come up with such cool ideas.

I am going to have to bake some zucchini bread soon. We have plants going like mad in the garden! I'll be printing off that recipe. Thanks for the heads up on it!

Your rug is lovely Ginger. I'm sorry you're having so little rain. We were the same last year, but this year we've had pretty good rainfall. It's been steady. I like it cause I don't have to water twice a day!!! Hope you get some rain soon!!! Btw, I'm glad you all got some exercise. It's a great way to burn some calories and have fun at the same time.

I just love zucchini bread!!!! Your recipe sounds like the one I use for mine, except mine calls for some crushed pineapple, well drained. I'm going to have to make some!!!

Loved your baking sheets. What a great idea. As I scrolled down slowly as I read, I thought maybe you were making chalk boards. But the paintings were just wonderful. Great job!!!! Can't wait to see the farm rug finished!
