Still Counting My Blessings

Life has a way of changing in just a matter of seconds.....

Thank goodness for airbags. Jenn our daughter had a wreck last Saturday night and broke her right arm. Third time around she has broken this arm and she broke the left one once. This time she did a real number on it.

So with her not being able to drive and her car totaled Mom is back to the rescue taking her to doctor appointments and surgery.

She broke both bones and had a break into the wrist area....but with lots of TLC hopefully all will heal up soon.

Sloan came for an overnight visit and made sure he kept us all entertained and kept checking on Jenn often. He was careful not to hurt her arm but insisted she go outside and see his chickens. He has resorted to calling them Baby Chiggers but keeps telling his PaPa he needs a chicken house. Can't figure out that one out and not even going to try. So we need to get busy and get those baby chiggers a house!

Tuesday afternoon I slipped up to Country Collections for a couple of hours to see what all the rug hooking gals had been working on. I didn't get any pictures of their works in progress but they each had something new to share.....I am still working on binding a few more rugs and I'm glad to say that big ol' pile of UFO's is almost done. Hopefully I can share those with you in a few days.

Be sure to count your blessings even in the struggles of life we all have so much to be thankful for.

Happy Trails.....Ginger

I loved Sloan in his straw hat. Such a little farm boy.
Your hooking place looks really interesting. Wish you all weren't so far away.

Oh my goodness - that wreck looks horrible. I'm so glad that your daughter is alright! I can so sympathize with her and the broken arm. I broke mine and spent nine months in a cast with it. They didn't pin mine back together like they have with your daughters, so that's probably why it took so long. Give her hugs. She is so lucky that she just came away with a broken arm.

Jenn still has that beautiful smile on her face! She is young and strong so should heal quickly. Will she be setting off the airport security when she walks through with all that hardware in her arm? ;) She must have had a guardian angel watching over her when the accident happened.
Little ones like Sloan can say the darndest things...chiggers...yep, those chiggers need their own house.

Sure hope your daughter heals quickly and from the looks of that car I'd say she was lucky that she didn't get hurt any worse.
I'd say that lil' farmer knows best
so you better get a chigger house built real quick.
(Kids are so funny!)

Yes, we all have so much to be thankful for!! My son broke his wrist last Oct and we had to go through the surgery thing too. Well... he did, I just had to sit and wait and pay for it. Haha! He didn't have to get that many pins though, thank goodness! Looks very painful!

Sloan is a cutie! I hope the baby chiggers get a house soon!

Look at those walls plastered with patterns and samples. Oh what fun!!
