We are thinking about going to NYC in October and then plan to drive up the coast. We went a few years ago and really enjoyed the sites and the beautiful autumn colors.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good place to stay while in NYC....it's hard to pick out a place to stay with so many choices and if you have been and have some ideas I would love to hear them.

I go to NYC every November and I stay at the Marriott Marquis right in Times Square. It helps that I have a Marriott charge card and earn points on it so the rooms don't cost me anything. But I love going there - you're right in the middle of everything! It's a beautiful hotel with some nice restaurants. But when in NYC, who wants to eat at the hotel. Right across the street is one of the best delis around.
