Oklahoma Wildfires
Oklahoman's faced wildfires yesterday over a major portion of the state. Over one hundred homes have been lost. The high winds fueled the fires as firefighters tried their best to gain some sort of control.
Two of my sisters had been to a track meet to see their kids and as they made their way home smoke and flames were making it a difficult trip back.
Having family members as well as friends as firefighters it just adds to the worry as the smoke was intense over a major portion of the state.
The winds are still blowing across the plains of Oklahoma today and rain is in the forecast for the weekend. Many folks will be faced with a loss of everything so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Happy Trails...Ginger

Oh Ginger, how devistating! Will definitely keep everyone in my prayers. I can't even imagine...
I will keep you in my prayers, be safe and thank you for sharing!!
What part of the state are you in.
We live about 45 minutes south of OKC in a little farming community.
Ginger,
I will keep you and your family in my prayers and of course all those affected by the fires.
Debbie
Ginger,
I'm glad to hear you are OK. I heard there were fires south of us, too and I thought of you. The fires in MWC and Choctaw went through the area we used to live in. How awful for those poor people, losing everything!!
Keeping them and our fire & emergency workers in our prayers.
Have a safe Easter weekend!

This certainly is a tragedy for many in our great state. Thankfully, so far, no one has been seriously injured or killed in the recent firestorm. This is so devastating for so many. We all need to keep those folks in our prayers and thoughts as they try to put there lives back together.
Glad you are safe.
My prayers are being sent to your wonderful state and I hope that people and emergency personnel remain safe. Hopefully the rain will arrive early and heavy and give the firefighters a respite. No matter how hard they try, it's very hard to fight natural disasters. Please take care and be safe!
Hugs,
Lauri
Be safe, my friend. Our prayers are with you.
I hope all will be ok soon for all of you. Have a Blessed Easter Weekend.
