Lucy Locket Lost Her Pocket

Lucy Locket Lost Her Pocket,
Kitty Fisher Found It;
Not A Penny Was There In It,
Only Ribbon Round It!

Well I made three little pockets yesterday and finished the last one up this morning.
This is what was on the frame yesterday and for a first attempt It turned out okay.

This is the back of the sheep pocket

When you open it up it repeats the sheep....I added a magnetic heart closure but can you see the mistake???

This is the little pocket just big enough to tuck in some spare change or folded bills.

A little pocket that opens at the top.....maybe to hang a sprig of flowers or herbs!

I've been thinking about doing a pocket booklet....think I'll go find my rug hook and see if I can find Lucy Locket's pocket!

Happy Trails....Ginger

  3. I really like how you made it into a trifold. I have done single pieces for pouches but like the idea of a snap closure. I have never done snaps, will have to see how that is done, be easier and nicer than slits and buttons;)

  6. Ha! You knew I had to come back to see what you were up to...they're adorable!!! And yeah, so what, one heart is upside down....count it as your intentional mistake....(At least in our family we were taught that you had to make at least one mistake in your work so as to acknowledge your sinful nature and that only God is perfect....) Love the little rhyme too....never heard that before.... Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
