Eva Mae

This lil' darling is 5 months old today!  Lots of hugging and squeezing for this lil' gal.  She smiles almost all the time and she can put a smile on your face in no time.

Well a big thank you to all that left me a comment on my previous post and most of all thank you so much for the prayers.  I'm feeling LOTS better today and I'm back on meds to keep everything calmed down.

I actually feel like a lil' crafting time tonight....

Trigeminal neuralgia

It has been one of those days! Trigeminal neuralgia or as some call it the suicide disease has hit once again. It has been described as among the most painful conditions known to mankind and I'm here to tell you I agree. The only relief I have found since about 4am this morning is ice. Can you say frozen cheek...beats suffering. I haven't had pain like this for over two years. The only good part of it the only thing I can tolerate eating is ice cream. I think all of this may have been triggered by a cold so tomorrow I'm off to the doc to at least get some meds once again for this problem. I don't have seizures but they do put me on seizure meds for it and I must say in the past it has helped...so keeping my fingers, toes, and eyes crossed that once again it will do the trick. Well got to go fill up my cup with ice once again!

Friends, Fair, and NYC

We started off the weekend with a group of ladies coming out to the farm for the day filled with hooking, punching and stitching. Pati Jane always is smiling!!!!

I had a table full of floss for the girls to take as much as they wanted. Can you believe I had lots left. I'm packing it up for my Aunt and her quilting buddies!

Sloan came over Saturday evening after the gals left to spend the night....seems like we haven't spent a weekend together since he began school. After church Sunday morning Papa and I took him to the state fair.

He enjoyed riding a horse, trying his hand at milking a cow, playing dart games and ball games. He won several prizes! I think he had a great time :)

Now a quick question....Danny and I will be visiting NYC the middle of October and want to go to a couple of Broadway shows so any suggestions? Also, have you been to NYC and what do you recommend doing??? We have been before but would like to hear some suggestions of what to do. We might even take a trip over into New Jersey. So with that said can't wait to hear what suggestions you might have :)

Pumpkin Moon Sampler

I hope you enjoyed your weekend I know I did! Made a quick little road trip with some friends and even though it rained we had a good time.

I finished this needle punched piece and added some dimension to a couple of the sunflowers. I just need to finish up the piece I want to attach it to.

I do have my "Jack Sprat" lumina pumpkin pattern available on our etsy shoppe. It can be hooked, punched, or stitched.

Danny has been working away on the tiling of the floor and now I just need to get my craft/therapy room cleared out....that will be one big job!

Have a great week and guess I better get to sorting on this room.

September Days!

I had a wonderful weekend. Pati Jane and I took a little road trip and stopped to visit Betty and Robin. Just love visiting with these two wonderful gals. Betty and Robin have the most wonderful booth of goodies in a little shop in Emporia, KS. I don't know if I can part with any of my treasures I came home with. Sloan absolutely loves the orange chair she featured in her blog with the cat and pumpkin garland....he now thinks it's his!

We then made our way to Warsaw, Mo for the Saltbox Primitive Woolens hook~in. Believe it or not I didn't bring a camera. What was I thinking???? Lots of great rugs and some really awesome vendors.

I did finish my white Jack O'Lantern and will be making a pattern out of it in the next few days. I still want to hook up a chair pad. He was a fun one to make.

While Pati and I were on our weekend trip I began this piece and found an unusual item to put it on. Now to get that background finished!

Eva Mae is a little over 4 months old and is trying to get a tooth. Lots of drool and chewing on things. Sloan loves for her to be here after he gets out of school. He has been very helpful keeping her entertained.

I just love those soft baby hands!

Sizzling Summer Days!

Can you believe we are still having days of well over 100 degrees. Yesterday Pati and I were melting in the shade as we would look at the Bank clock and it would taunt us with between 101 and 105 degrees. Thank goodness we were on the side of the festival with a bit of shade. I just don't do hot summer days.

We did have a busy day and we were happy with the sales that tallied up by the end of the day. The Loose Caboose festival has certainly grown over the last few years.

In between customers I worked on a simple little pumpkin needle punch that I will be putting on a round box I have.

Think I might even hook this lil' guy up and make it a chairpad, too.

Have a safe and Happy Labor Day Holiday!
